Practice and Experience:
Richard has actively practiced law in Portland, Oregon, since 1960, in the areas of corporate, business, real estate, wills, trusts, probate, and business litigation. An AV rated attorney, he has international law experience in representing clients in Europe, the Middle East, and Mexico. A substantial portion of his practice is related to the organization and development of small businesses.
Education and Professional Activities:
Richard graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in the School of Business, served as an Officer in the U.S. Air Force for two years, and received his law degree from Northwestern College of Law, Lewis & Clark College in 1960. He is a member of the Oregon State Bar and is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts. He has served as Chairman of the Oregon State Bar Corporation Law Committee and has participated in the Bar Association's Continuing Legal Education programs as a speaker on civil pleading issues and as an author of a section on special damages in the area of contract law.
